Financial Planning Days, a joint endeavor by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFPBoard), Financial Planning Association® (FPA®), Foundation for Financial Planning, and the U.S. Conference of Mayors, is celebrating its sixth year this month.
Featuring events in twenty two cities nationwide, Financial Planning Days connects thousands of consumers with hundreds of volunteer CFP® professionals who provide free financial consultations and workshops at designated schools, municipal buildings, and libraries. Financial Planning Days continues to provide Americans across the country with an opportunity to get the financial advice they need at no cost and with no strings attached. No one will be taking down names, business cards and marketing materials will not be distributed, and absolutely no one will be selling financial products and services.
Planners meet privately with individuals and couples in one-on-one consultations to answer questions on budgeting, credit management, getting out of debt, taxes, homeownership, college financing, insurance, and so much more. Free classroom-style workshops covering these key areas of personal finance are also available.
It’s not too late! Find your local event and participate, visit FinancialPlanningDays.org. Registration can be completed online or by calling toll-free 1-877-861-7826. Walk-ins are also welcome.
