The America Saves Summit: Attacking the Savings Crisis will feature prominent representatives from the government, private industry, financial services, academia, the military, the nonprofit sector, and the media for an in-depth conversation about the current status of saving in the United States. To meet the challenge presented by the savings crisis, diverse stakeholders will relay current efforts and planned strategies with an emphasis on what we can all do together to make a difference.
At the conclusion of the Summit, participants will be called to action to help reduce the number of Americans who find it difficult to save even $400 for an emergency.

When is the Summit?
The Summit will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.

What time is the Summit?
The Summit will begin at 8:30am and will conclude at 5:00pm.

Where is the Summit being held?
The Summit is being held in the Lankford Auditorium of the Public Welfare Foundation building at 1200 U Street NW.

What is the closest metro stop to the Summit?
The closest metro station to the Summit is the U St African-Amer Civil War Mem’l/Cardozo stop on the Green and Yellow lines. Once you exit the train, follow signs to the 13th Street station exit. Once you exit the station, the Public Welfare Foundation building will be on your right at the corner of 12th and U Streets.

How do I find more information about DC public transportation?
Please visit www.wmata.com for more information about DC public transportation including train and bus schedules and a trip planner.

Will the Summit be live streamed?
The Summit will not be live streamed however portions of the conference content may be made available at the conclusion of the event at www.americasaves.org.

Will there be food? What if I have dietary restrictions?
A light continental breakfast and coffee will be available beginning at 8:30am and lunch will be available at noon. Dietary restrictions can be submitted during the registration process.

Is there a hotel room block?
We are not reserving a block of rooms for this event. The Public Welfare Foundation is located in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, D.C. For the economic traveler, we recommend using Hotwire, Expedia, or AirBnB. A list of hotels nearby can be found here.

What is the deadline for Summit registration?
Online registration will close on Friday, November 1. Onsite registration may be made available depending on capacity.

Is the Summit venue ADA accessible?
The Public Welfare Foundation is ADA accessible and other access services will be provided upon request. Please notify America Saves if other access services are required.
