One’s Creative Way to Save: A Family Challenge that Turned Spare Change into a Family Vacation

This Los Angeles mom decided to turn the process into a family challenge and invited everyone in the household to participate.

Looking for a creative way to save, this Los Angeles mom decided to turn the process into a family challenge and invited everyone in the household to participate.  

The Challenge: Contribute spare change and small amounts of money each week. 

The weekly challenge quickly became something the entire family looked forward to. Along the way, One’s children learned valuable lessons about setting goals, making consistent progress, and watching small contributions grow into something meaningful. Saving became a family habit, and even a little fun. 

Over time, their coins and small weekly deposits added up. The family eventually used the money they had saved together to take a family trip, creating special memories while celebrating what they had accomplished together! 

One’s story is a reminder that saving doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes the most effective strategies are the ones that make saving engaging and sustainable.
