Reducing Financial Stress During the Holidays

While the holidays should be a joyful time, the busyness of the season on top of the financial burden can bring unwelcome stress. From out-of-town guests, to holiday gift giving, to hosting holiday gatherings, there are many factors that can leave us taking a few deep breaths.

The American Psychological Association has identified the top four main stressors of the holidays: difficult family conversations, the pressure of gift giving, finances and managing expectations. In turn, they have created a Holiday Stress Resource Center with tips on how to manage these stressors.
