America Saves Monthly Program Update

America Saves has three programs that directly carry out our mission to niche communities, encouraging them to build financial confidence through effective saving, debt reduction, and wealth-building strategies.

April 2024:

Young Savers

As we work to support our partner employers as they gear up for another youth employment season, we wanted to remind you that the 2023 America Saves For Young Workers Impact Report is available to review. We are thrilled with the amazing effort and outcome of our partners and their young workers, and we encourage you to take some time to review what they were able to accomplish in 2023.

The 2023 Impact Report can be viewed here

America Saves for Young Workers is a turnkey financial capability solution for youth employers. The program goes beyond the normal "financial literacy" information and gives them real-life actions that promotes positive savings habits. Together we, ASYW and you, guide the young people of America toward a stable future where they can be confident about their finances.

America Saves at Work

America Saves at Work, with support from the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE), has released the Financial Wellness Tool Kit. The first of its kind resource kit supports employers as they discern the type of financial wellness benefits they want to offer to their employees and how to implement such a program. This tool kit provides:

  • Support and education to aid employers in curating a financial wellness program with meaningful and measurable ROI with research and case studies about financial wellness in the workplaces, insights on using surveys to determine specific financial needs of employees, strategies on how to communicate about benefits and much more.
  • A menu of ready-to-implement resources that employers can use to communicate with heir employees about their financial wellness benefits covering topics such as debt management, retirement saving, investment basics, online calculators and more.

All these resources are designed to move people to action, ultimately helping to build a more financially confident and healthy workforce.

To receive complimentary access to The Financial Wellness Tool Kit, organizations need to be members of the ASAW Network. Go to americasavesatwork.org to sign up for a complimentary membership.

Veteran Saves

This month, our Veteran Saves program hosted the impactful "Increasing Your Credit Score Workshop," designed specifically for veterans, transitioning service members, their families, and caregivers. Participants gained essential skills in managing credit reports, understanding the elements that influence credit scores, and tackling challenges such as misinformation and identity theft.

Afterwards, participants left with effective tools including pre/post assessments and a clear action plan tailored to improve their credit score within 90 days.

We encourage our partners to share this valuable on-demand workshop with their communities. It's an excellent resource for any Veteran looking to understand the key factors affecting their credit score, correct misinformation, and take proactive steps toward financial empowerment.

Please share the registration link below widely within your networks to help extend this valuable resource to as many veterans as possible.
