Financial Resources You Can Trust

We encourage you to reach out to these organizations for support. They can provide guidance tailored to your needs and may help you access additional resources.

We understand that managing financial challenges can be overwhelming, and we are here to support you in finding resources to improve your financial stability.

While America Saves does not provide direct financial assistance, we are committed to connecting you with trusted organizations that offer services in areas such as bill payment assistance, debt management, and credit building. Here are several options you might find helpful:

  1. United Way 2-1-1: Dialing 2-1-1 or visiting their website connects you to local resources for emergency financial assistance, including rent and utility help.
  2. Operation HOPE: Provides financial coaching, credit counseling, and resources for debt management, especially for low-to-moderate-income families.
  3. Feeding America: A nonprofit that provides emergency food assistance through their network of 200+ food banks and over 60,000 food pantries and meal programs across the country. The organization also helps those in need find long-term assistance through government programs, even helping with the application process.
  1. Modest Needs: Provides financial assistance for an array of needs, with a special focus on short-term needs, like financial help with housing costs and utility assistance. The organization offers what they call “self-sufficiency grants” to help those struggling to get back on their feet.
  2. Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF): Eligibility requirements and programs vary from state to state, but they generally help with basic necessities like food, housing, and more.
  3. Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8): A housing program aimed at securing affordable housing for low-income families and individuals. Those who meet the eligibility requirements work with public housing agencies to find housing and then pay a portion of the cost.
  4. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is another low-income housing program that offers other forms of subsidized housing, including grants.
  5. National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC): Offers certified credit counseling, debt management plans, and personalized financial action plans. Their programs are designed to help consumers regain control over their finances affordably.
  6. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB): Offers tools and resources for managing debt, understanding credit, and resolving issues with lenders. They also allow you to submit complaints about financial products.

We encourage you to reach out to these organizations for support. They can provide guidance tailored to your needs and may help you access additional resources.

Wishing you the best on your financial journey.
